Library Facilities |
Sydenham being the oldest institution of commerce education in the country has a library with a collection of over fifty thousand classical and modern books. It also subscribes to several national and international journals and periodicals of commerce and economics. In addition to books that cater the needs of the faculty and students, library is also endowed with encyclopaedias pertaining to various disciplines. It is one of the few college libraries in the University of Mumbai that provide open access system to the students. The library is in process of full computerization, making available on-line-catalogue not only to the faculty and students but also to the outside scholars. In order to facilitate the research works of the members of the faculty, library provides internet facility. It has a Language Lab that provides facilities to the students in order to make them proficient in English and French. Like any excellent library, it also provides photocopying facility. The Library’s reading hall is kept open from 8 am to 8 pm during examination time. The Library has a membership of CMIE (Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy) library for its students and staff. |

Computer Centre |
The college has two well equipped laboratories on the ground floor. In one lab Internet Surfing called “SPIN” is accessible to the students and faculty. In the other labs the practicals of various classes like S.Y.B.Com, T.Y.B.Com, B.M.S, Banking & Insurance and Y.C.M.O.U classes are held. The computer centre is managed by Students Committee with the help of professional computer operator and supervised by the Professor In-charge. The labs are open from 10.00a.m to 5.00 pm on all working days. |

Gymkhana |
The college gymkhana also has its share of glory. It offers a number of facilities to the students. There is a basket ball court, a volley ball court, a badminton court, and two-table table tennis hall. Besides, facilities for games like chess and carom (four board room) also are available. The games like cricket, football, handball, kho-kho and kabaddi are played at Oval Maidan, where the college has a reserved pitch. It keeps its annual athletic meet on the University sports ground. Above all Sydenham college gymkhana has a state of the art Four Station multipurpose gymnasium. No doubt, it has chiseled the careers of the most prominent sportspersons of India like Mr. Vijay Merchant, Mr. Niraj Bajaj, Mr. Ashish Sakharkar and many more like them. |

Auditorium |
The college auditorium has a capacity of four hundred and fifty comfortable seats. It offers sound and light effects for budding dramatists of the college, besides it serves as the venue for other activities like co-curricular and extra-curricular programmes, seminars, symposia and golden Jubilee Lectures. Every year several important programmes of Government of Maharashtra are conducted here. |

Students’ Common Room |
Situated in the basement is the students’ common room with locker facility for students. It accommodates several college societies, where office bearers and members meet and chalk out their programmes. It is also the venue of Sydenham Book Fair and Arpan. There is a separate girls’ room on the second floor with changing and relaxing facilities for girls. |

Canteen |
| |
The Cooperative Store of the college runs the canteen, named J. C. Gupta Aharika and located at on ground floor. Like all other college societies, canteen also works under the supervision of a professor in charge. Its environs are clean and hygienic, food is sumptuous but rates are subsidised. It opens at 7:30 in the morning for senior and junior college and closes as late as 7:30 in the evening, catering also to the students of evening lectures and programmes. From students’ point of view this is the most happening place; for it is the place where they mingle and make friends. |

The Co-operative Stores |
| |
The Sydenham co-operative stores was established in1921. It is run by the students’ committee under the supervision of professors in-charge. Here stationary, books, note books, computer practical books, DTP and photocopying facilities are available at reasonable rates. |

College Hostels |
| |
The college provides accommodation to the male students at the Government Colleges Hostel situated right behind the college building on C- Road, Churchgate.Here one hundred and thirty students from Sydenham College get accommodation every year. It has a common room, library, reading room, recreation room, sports hall, a canteen and mess. It also houses an extension counter of State Bank of India.
For girls the accommodation is available at Telang Memorial Hostel, C-Road, Churchgate, and Savitribai Phule Government Girls Hostel, Marine Drive, Charni Road. However, only limited number of female students get accommodation here.
The students can apply to the college for hostel accommodation. Thereafter, a selection committee, comprising of the Principal and senior professors screen these applications, interviews the candidates and recommends the most eligible cases to the Government. The Government informs the Hostel Superintendent so that the most neediest ones get the accommodation. |
